316L stainless steel (316L) This model does indeed not have a separate lock or ball, but the product is bent open and closed. The ring nosepiece is easy to keep clean when it rotates in the shower in the nose.
316L steel is a well-used material for piercing jewellery. The gold plating and black coating on the steel last well, but do wear off over time as you wear the jewelry. The wear on the coatings is largely influenced by the use of the jewellery and the skin's own PH.
