Measuring finger size from the finger

There are various measuring tools for measuring the size of your ring and finger, but you can also measure them at home. Here are three ways to measure the size of your finger, with a special recommendation to use a ring gauge for best accuracy.

1. Using a ring gauge

When measuring the diameter of your finger, it is a good idea to measure it with a gauge that corresponds to the width of your ring. One practical way to measure the thickness of a finger with a traditional gauge is to measure the finger at the thickest point. 

1. Slip one end of the ring gauge into the joint of the other end and pull.
